To and Fro

This piece is almost like a narrative. He is shown holding a candle, with pajamas on, barefoot, while his hat is being blown off, and some houses are shown in the distance. It can either have a very spooky like feel too it or just him going outside to do something before a big storm hits. Either way you look at it, its brilliant. (By Teun Hocks, from the book The Photo Book by Phaidon)

"My Mother, Bolton Abbey, Yorkshire"

I think this photo, or collage of photos, makes the mood feel sad, like something tragic happend in that setting. Her facial expressions look as though she may break down at any given second. I think the way he placed each part of the photo give the viewer, maybe a sense of what had happend or what may have went on. A very strong piece if you ask me! Migrant Mother

This photo is from the book "The Photo Book" and the photo is by Dorothea Lange and it is called Migrant Mother, Nipomo, California. It was taken in March of 1936 along with 6 other photos which became well known almost immediately. It has a feel of sadness but at the same time looks so scared and doesn't know what to do from here. It really impacted me when I saw it.

Milk Anyone?

This is from the magazine Critique, its actually from Autumn of 2000. It is a design for a new milk packaging. I think it is very clever and that the design is very unique and fresh. Thats really all I have to say about it, I really like this design!

Tropical??

This is just a quick sketch for my first sketch (I did have this on http://typerchick.blogspot.com/ but decided to create a blog just for Graphic Design 1 and the date for this blog post actually was monday, august 24, 2009) We have a hammock in out back yard and we basically have two of these on each side, and have the hammock hooked on the top log, on each side, with some sea grass stuff growing around them.
